Iran animated piece ‘Watch Me!’ is slated to vie at Oxford Film Festival in the US.

Directed by Reza Mehranfar, the animation is to vie at the 16th edition of the American event.

“A boy lives in a world of anxiety and fear; fear which is meaningless to others and is therefore ignored. Normal life goes on, but all he experiences is darkness and loneliness,” the short synopsis to the movie reads.

The Oxford Film Festival celebrates the art of independent cinema.

Through year round programming, the festival works to encourage filmmaking in Oxford and North Mississippi while growing understanding of cinema through screenings, workshops and educational programs, culminating in the annual five day festival.

The festival exhibits over 200 quality films from across the globe and has been praised for its hospitality.

The 16th edition of the film is slated for February 6-10, 2019.
